Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter in a saucepan. Swirl until golden brown and nutty (5–7 min). Let it cool.

Step 1 – Brown the Butter

Mix browned butter with 1¼ cups brown sugar + ½ cup granulated sugar. Add 2 eggs and 2 tsp vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.

Step 2 – Cream the Sugars

Whisk together 3 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, and ½ tsp salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.

Step 3 – Mix Dry Ingredients

Fold in 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Step 4 – Add Chocolate Chips
